About the Role
We are seeking multi-talented Musical Duos to deliver high-touch lounge and deck entertainment aboard luxury 5-star expedition cruise ships. The ideal duo creates a welcoming, sophisticated atmosphere, performing both as a joint act and as flexible individual soloists across various elegant ship spaces.
Area of responsibility
Plan and deliver daily live bar and lounge entertainment across main atrium lounges, observation bars, and open-deck areas.
Fulfill guest music requests and proactively engage with passengers to build strong guest relations.
Flexible delivery of music programs, performing as a unified duo or dividing into individual solo sets as required.
Conduct high-standard performances both acoustic/unplugged and with backing tracks.
Conduct host duties and actively participate in onboard department meetings and expedition events.
Scope of duties
Perform daily aperitif sets before dinner and late-evening lounge/dance entertainment (up to a maximum of 6 hours daily ).
Deliver 1 to 2 feature concerts per cruise (45–50 minutes in duration).
Provide musical entertainment for outdoor deck gatherings, pool events, and themed cocktail hours.
Assist with special onboard functions when requested (e.g., wedding ceremonies or special services).
Coordinate performance changes and rehearsal schedules with the onboard management team.
Maintain formal concert attire for evening performances and smart-casual standards in all guest-facing areas.
Qualification/Work Experience
Multi-instrumental duo featuring strong lead vocals combined with instruments (Piano/Keyboards, Acoustic Guitar).
Extensive repertoire of at least 400 songs covering Pop, Chart Hits, Oldies, Jazz, Swing, Musicals, and international pop repertoire.
Proven experience in guest relations, complaint handling, and live lounge performance environments.
Mandatory fluency in English (onboard safety and working language) ; basic-to-conversational German language skills are a strong plus.
Strong communication skills, warm stage presence, and high customer focus.
